12/10/2008 Dear Sir/Madame Mytikas studies social issues in regarding work, school drop-outs, crime and communication. Using visualization, encouragement and coaching we address the issues at hand. Mytikas broadens the views of community groups and cultures in the Netherlands (including the originals populations as well as the immigrants) by stimulating a hybrid culture and out of the box thinking. The government contracted Mytikas for a 3 year project to support, train and coach 40 Antillean teenagers using visualization, encouragement, simulation and competence stimulation. The goal is to avoid drop-outs, decrease criminal behavior and unemployment within this target group. In three years we show these youngsters a new world so they can make better choices in life. In 2006 ThePeaceBrokers inc invited 2 teenagers to attend the youth summit in Istanbul, Turkey to work with 50 youth from several parts of the world regarding the Tsunami in Sri Lanka. They were tasked to develop solutions for the reconstruction efforts in that country. The Mytikas participants learned a lot of this experience and were able to bring that back to their own community/situation. During the summit they learned how to interact in a much more effective way with other cultures than in the Netherlands (very often the youth stays within their own culture and have few friends belonging to another culture). Based on the success achieved Mytikas was invited to send 10 youngsters to the summit in Helsinki, Finland and 6 teenagers to Harrisonburg, VA/USA. The platform ThePeaceBrokers Inc create for (including) the youth of Mytikas who seldom or not at all have the opportunity to participate in programs like this is in our opinion a step into a new world. Providing information and encourage to develop something new together teaches the teenagers at an early stage in their life to be curious and dare to ask questions. ThePeaceBrokers Inc is an organization with a vision about a livable world in the 21ste century.
